In this energetic role, you will develop and implement training programs that promote positive behavior, enhance obedience, and strengthen the bond between pets and their families. Your enthusiasm and knowledge will inspire pet owners to continue training at home, ensuring long-term success and happiness for every dog you work with. Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging, effective training sessions utilizing positive reinforcement techniques to promote desirable behaviors. Assess each dog's temperament, behavior, and training needs to tailor individualized training plans. Demonstrate proper handling, restraint, and care techniques to pet owners and staff to ensure safety and comfort during training. Educate pet owners on pet care, animal handling, pet grooming, and pet sitting best practices to foster responsible ownership. Maintain accurate records of training progress, behavioral assessments, and client interactions. Assist with kennel duties, including animal care, feeding, cleaning, and ensuring a safe environment for all animals. Qualifications Proven experience in dog training with a strong understanding of positive behavior support strategies. Knowledge of animal handling, restraint techniques, and kennel management is preferred. Familiarity with classroom positive reinforcement methods and heavy lifting required for handling large or energetic dogs. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members. Ability to work outdoors or in various environments while maintaining a lively, energetic attitude.
