Responsibilities:
Evaluate horse and rider combinations to ensure optimal saddle fit, comfort, and performance. Conduct static and dynamic assessments at client locations, observe horse and rider under saddle, take precise measurements, recommend and adjust saddles and related tack, and educate clients on fit maintenance and followup care. Perform static assessments of horse conformation and saddle interface; record measurements and observations. Observe horse and rider during dynamic evaluation (gait, balance, rider position) to identify fit issues; supervise test rides. Recommend appropriate saddle models, tree widths, and ancillary tack based on discipline and rider needs. Perform or coordinate minor adjustments (e.g., flocking/balance tweaks, billet/strap replacements, panel alignment); ensure safe fit and clearance. Educate clients on indicators of poor fit, care schedules, and recommended followup intervals. Maintain detailed service records (photos, measurements, adjustments, recommendations). Travel to barns/client sites; collaborate with trainers or veterinarians Requirements include: High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent 12 months and experience horse riding experience.
