Dog Daycare/Kennel Attendant Job Summary We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Kennel Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will supervise groups of dogs in a safe and engaging environment while ensuring their health, happiness, and well-being. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and breeds, enjoys being active, and provides excellent customer service to pet owners. Key Responsibilities Supervise and monitor playgroups to ensure safe, positive interactions between dogs. Recognize and respond appropriately to dog body language and behavior. Maintain a clean and sanitary facility by disinfecting play areas, kennels, feeding stations, and equipment. Feed, administer medications (if trained), and provide fresh water according to owner instructions. Report injuries, illnesses, or behavioral concerns to management promptly. Assist with dog check-in and check-out, ensuring accurate records and communication with pet owners. Provide basic grooming services such as brushing, bathing, or nail trimming when needed. Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures. Deliver exceptional customer service by answering questions and providing updates on pets. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience working with dogs in a daycare, kennel, veterinary clinic, shelter, or grooming facility is preferred but not required. Ability to safely handle dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to remain calm in unpredictable situations. Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods. Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions. Ability to clean, sanitize, and maintain the facility throughout the day.
