Duties Safely handle and restrain dogs during feeding, cleaning, grooming, and medical procedures using proper animal handling techniques Monitor dogs' behavior throughout the day to ensure safety and prevent conflicts or injuries Assist with dog training activities to promote good manners and socialization skills Maintain clean kennels, play areas, and grooming stations by disinfecting and organizing supplies regularly Provide pet sitting services including feeding, walking, administering medication, and offering companionship Support veterinary staff with basic animal care tasks such as assisting during examinations or treatments Engage dogs in stimulating play and enrichment activities to promote mental and physical health Heavy lifting of supplies, bedding, or equipment as needed to ensure a clean and safe environment Qualifications Prior experience in kennel work, pet grooming, or animal handling is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a plus Strong ability to handle animals safely and confidently across various temperaments and sizes Experience with veterinary assistant tasks or veterinary technician experience is advantageous Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout shifts Basic pet grooming, pet sitting, or animal restraint skills are desirable Passion for animal care combined with a positive, energetic attitude that fosters a welcoming environment Join us in creating a joyful space where pets feel loved and cared for!
