Duties Take dogs on engaging walks tailored to their energy levels and needs, ensuring proper exercise and mental stimulation Provide attentive pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medications if needed, and maintaining daily routines Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques during grooming, vet visits, or training sessions to ensure safety for both pets and handlers Assist with basic dog training exercises to promote good behavior and socialization skills Monitor pet health and behavior, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to pet owners or veterinary professionals Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning up after pets during walks and visits Offer additional pet care services such as grooming or administering veterinary-approved treatments when required Experience Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles is highly preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures enhances your ability to provide comprehensive care Experience with animal restraint, pet grooming, and kennel management is a plus Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles demonstrates a strong understanding of animal health needs Familiarity with heavy lifting (e.g., lifting large dogs or supplies) ensures you can handle physical demands safely Excellent customer service skills are essential for building trust with pet owners and addressing their concerns effectively Previous exposure to equine or other animal handling environments can be advantageous but is not mandatory This role is perfect for compassionate individuals eager to combine their love for animals with an active lifestyle.
