This is not a sit-and-play job—you'll be on your feet throughout your shift, cleaning, managing dog behavior, and maintaining a safe environment at all times. At Dogtopia of Geneva, you'll learn how to read dog body language, understand play styles, and help guide safe, structured group play in a professional daycare setting. This is a fast-paced, physically active role that requires a strong work ethic. You'll work hands-on with dogs throughout your entire shift while collaborating closely with a supportive team. Team members may also have the opportunity to bring their own dog to work. Position Details Part-time 3-5 days per week Approximately 15-30 hours per week We are looking for dependable team members who are reliable, punctual, and interested in long-term employment and growth with our team. About the Role As a Canine Coach, you'll help create a safe, clean, and structured environment for our daycare dogs. This is an excellent opportunity to gain real, hands-on experience with dog behavior, group play, and daycare operations while making a positive impact on the dogs in your care. Key Responsibilities Supervise group play to ensure safe and appropriate interactions Monitor dogs for changes in behavior or health Engage dogs through structured play, enrichment activities, and basic commands Maintain a clean and organized facility at all times Assist with feeding when needed Clean playrooms, kennels, and outdoor areas (including dog messes) What We're Looking For Reliable, dependable, and punctual with a strong commitment to showing up for your team Animal handling experience preferred (daycare, veterinary, shelter, grooming, training, or similar experience) Strong work ethic and willingness to stay busy throughout your shift Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team Comfortable lifting up to 100 lbs when necessary Able to remain on your feet and active throughout the entire shift A genuine commitment to dog safety, cleanliness, and exceptional care If you're looking for an active, hands-on role where you'll gain valuable experience working with dogs while being part of a team that values safety, structure, and high standards, we'd love to meet you.
