Job Description

Ohana Pet Care and Counseling is a local, independent business offering pet sitting and dog walking with specializations in Fear Free veterinary tech, geriatric, and mobility care. Our team is casual, supportive, and collaborating. A job at Ohana Pet Care and Counseling is emotionally rewarding, fun, and flexible.
Our work environment includes:
On-the-job training Flexible working hours Relaxed atmosphere Casual work attire Paid commute time We are currently hiring for a weekend/on-call Pet Wellness Advocates. PWAs provide care for pets in the pets' homes . The care that PWAs give include accompanying dogs on their walks, providing food, ensuring clean living spaces, and administering medications. Our PWAs are Fear Free Certified to reduce pets' fear, anxiety, and stress.

We're Looking for
Someone Who:
Feels confident and comfortable working with fast-moving animals, including those showing signs of FAS (Fear, Anxiety, and Stress) Can think on their feet and develop creative, compassionate solutions in the moment Remains calm, patient, and supportive in high-stress or unpredictable situations — both for the animals and the team Experience with animals Understanding of animal behavior Adherence to Fear Free and Force Free protocols and methods A reliable mode of transportation (driving is required to travel to and from our client's homes) A smart phone Familiarity with app usage Capability of working both with a team and independently Strong communication and organization skills Shifts for which we are hiring are for: Applicants must have availability between 7:00 AM-10 AM, Mon•Fri and Sat•Sun. When applying, please indicate which shift for which you are applying. Please note, total weekly hours earned are varaible based on our bookings. Staff are paid for travel time between appointments.
