Job Description
Dutchtown Animal Hospital is looking for a reliable, compassionate, and energetic Animal Handler to join our veterinary team! This is an entry-level position and a great opportunity for someone who loves animals and wants to work in a veterinary hospital environment. What You'll Do Handle and safely restrain dogs, cats, and small animals Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care and diagnostics Help with animal restraint, bathing, and basic patient care Clean and maintain kennels, treatment areas, equipment, and hospital spaces Help with laundry and other daily hospital duties Jump in wherever needed to keep the hospital running smoothly No previous veterinary experience is required—but is appreciated. What We're Looking For Comfortable working with dogs, cats, and small animals Able to safely handle animals of different sizes and weights Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn Professional, helpful, and positive attitude Works well as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on position. You must be able to stand, walk, bend, and work on hard floors for extended periods of time and safely handle animals throughout the workday. Pay:
$10.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 40.0 per weekBenefits:
