Job Description

Hours needed: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm - 7pm Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, particularly with dogs. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional care for our canine companions while ensuring their safety and well-being. The Canine Handler will work closely with both the animals and co-workers , fostering a positive relationship Duties Provide daily care for dogs, including picking up poop, feeding, giving water and exercising in the yard. Utilize animal restraint techniques when necessary to ensure the safety of both the dogs and staff. Maintain cleanliness of kennels and play areas to promote a healthy environment. Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to staff & parents as needed. Assist in customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's needs and behavior. Perform heavy lifting as required when handling large breeds or moving equipment. Requirements Experience in kennel management or animal care is preferred, but willing to train! Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal behavior is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physically demanding tasks. Proficiency working with others as a team is a must.
