Job Description

Job Overview Join our vibrant pet care team as a Dog Daycare Attendant, where your enthusiasm for animals and dedication to their well-being will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe, fun, and engaging environment for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Your day-to-day efforts will foster positive socialization, promote good behavior, and provide exceptional care that keeps both dogs and their owners happy. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with animals while developing valuable skills in dog handling, teamwork, communication, and customer service.
Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
Monitor off-leash dog play in an indoor/outdoor daycare environment Maintain a calm, alert, and confident presence with dogs of different sizes, ages, and temperaments Use strong observational skills to help keep dogs safe, happy, and well-socialized Encourage appropriate dog-to-dog and dog-to-person interactions Clean up after dogs throughout the day Perform general cleaning tasks to help maintain a safe and sanitary facility Interact professionally and warmly with clients during drop-off, pick-up, and other communications Take notes and communicate relevant observations about dog behavior, health, and group dynamics Support fellow team members and work independently when needed Remain active and on your feet throughout the shift Work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather Assist with other tasks related to dog care and daily daycare operations as needed Show up reliably for scheduled shifts, including some weekends and holidays Experience Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or kennel work is highly desirable but not required Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary experience is a plus Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles enhances your ability to provide quality care Familiarity with pet grooming practices and animal restraint methods is beneficial Strong customer service skills to engage positively with pet owners and team members Ability to lift heavy objects safely and comfortably for extended periods of time Previous experience working in animal care facilities such as kennels or shelters is advantageous Join us in creating a lively, caring environment where dogs thrive!
