In this energetic role, you will implement training sessions for our Board & Train clients, that enhance dogs' obedience, social skills, and behavior. You'll work with a great team that loves helping dogs and families in this fun, rewarding position. This position offers a great opportunity to apply your animal handling skills in a lively environment dedicated to dog training excellence. Duties Conduct training sessions to teach basic commands, leash manners, and advanced behaviors (we use tools often, prong collars and e-collars) Handle feeding, watering and cleaning of the kennels and facility Handle dogs safely using proper techniques during training Monitor dogs' health and well-being during sessions, noting any veterinary concerns or special needs Maintain detailed records of training progress and behavioral observations Requirements Experience in dog handling with an understanding of canine behavior principles Skilled in animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both dogs and staff Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for handling large or energetic dogs Previous experience working with animals in kennels, or equine environments is advantageous
