Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Groom to join our home barn team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring our furry friends look and feel their best while providing exceptional horse care and handling. Your enthusiasm for animals, combined with your equine skills and expertise, will help create a positive experience for the horses and their owners alike. This position offers a dynamic environment where your love for animals can truly shine, making a meaningful difference in their lives every day. Duties Care for 5 horses Feeding hay and grain Dump/scrub/fill all water buckets in stalls and turnouts daily Turning horses out and bringing in Grooming, bathing Tacking/Untacking Identifying and treating skin abrasions/irritations Pre and post training therapies (ice, Bemer, etc.) Lunging Wrapping Blanketing Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort Maintain cleanliness and organization of barn inside and out Qualifications Proven experience in professional horse grooming - preference for h/j or dressage experience Knowledge of english riding and training tack Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage large sport horses confidently Ability to safely perform heavy lifting when necessary Strong independent work ethic with a friendly, professional demeanor Join us to make a positive impact on horses lives through expert and compassionate care.
