Dog Daycare Attendant & Canine Coach (Multiple Positions Available)
Job Summary:
Join our small but vibrant pet care team! We are a growing, queer-owned business looking for motivated people who want to launch or grow their careers in the animal care field. In this energetic role, you will be the heartbeat of our dog daycare, providing safe, engaging, and loving care for dogs of all breeds and sizes.

We run a fear-free and force-free facility, using science as the foundation of our dog training, daycare, and boarding philosophy. As a new business, our goal is to build an exceptional resource for dogs, their owners, and the broader community. To do that, we need reliable team players who share our passion. We value open, effective communication and are offering the right candidates an exciting opportunity to be mentored by established industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities Supervision :
Facilitate safe play sessions among dogs, ensuring positive social interactions and preventing conflicts.
Behavior Monitoring :
Closely monitor body language, recognize signs of stress or discomfort, and intervene appropriately using safe animal handling and redirection techniques.
Training Support:
Assist with basic dog training exercises to promote good manners and obedience during daily daycare activities.
Facility Care :
Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and grooming zones to ensure a hygienic environment for all animals.
Daily Operations :
Provide essential pet care duties, including feeding, administering medications, and assisting with basic grooming tasks.
Client Relations :
Communicate effectively and professionally with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior, health status, and daily updates.
Teamwork :
Support fellow team members with physical tasks, heavy lifting, and equipment setup to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications & Requirements Core Value :

Work Ethic :
A hard worker with a proactive attitude who takes initiative and identifies facility projects independently.
Experience :
Prior experience in dog handling, pet sitting, kennel work, required. Skills (Plus): Knowledge of force-free dog training techniques, animal restraint methods, or a background as a veterinary assistant/technician is a strong plus.
Physical Capability :
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for kennel cleaning or equipment setup.

Several positions available - both Part-Time and Full-Time, with strong potential to grow into a full-time career as the business expands.

Pay Rate:
$16-20 commensurate with experience
