Compensation:
$14.50 - $15.50+ hourly
DOE Responsibilities:
Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of kennels and surrounding areas to provide a safe environment for our dogs. Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, promptly reporting any concerns to the management team. Feed and administer medications to dogs according to their individual care plans, ensuring their well-being. Engage with dogs through play and exercise, fostering a stimulating and enriching environment. Assist with the intake and discharge process of dogs, ensuring a smooth transition for both pets and owners. Maintain accurate records of each dog's activities, health, and behavior to support effective care management. Collaborate with team members to create a supportive and positive work environment, enhancing team morale and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Experience in animal care or a related field, ensuring the well-being of our canine guests. Ability to maintain a clean and secure environment, prioritizing safety and hygiene. Proven track record of effective communication with pet owners, addressing questions and concerns with empathy. Ability to collaborate with team members, fostering a supportive and high-quality care environment. Experience in monitoring and recording animal behavior, health, and dietary intake. Ability to provide tailored exercise and enrichment activities for dogs of varying energy levels. Experience in training and mentoring new staff, sharing best practices and promoting a culture of learning. Only hiring those 18 years and older at this time. We are looking for committed candidates who want a place to call home for the next 2+ years - seasonal employment is not available at this time.
