Job Description
Unleashed K9 of MN is hiring! We are looking to add a full time Dog Trainer to join our team. Weekend availability is a must. You must be 18 years old or older to apply. Conveniently located in Maple Grove/Dayton off of 94 & Dayton Parkway. If you want to get into more of the working dog side of training, we are a great place to learn and work. We get mostly pet dogs for obedience training, but we also get working dogs for police departments, personal protection, scent detection, etc. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Experience both handling and training dogs is a must Train your assigned dogs and provide a thorough go-home lesson with the client 1:1 lessons, no group classes E-Collar, prong collar, slip leads, etc. experience with balanced training preferred, not a must Twice weekly video updates of the dog(s) training progress for the client Bringing board and trains home on occasion (to work on in home behaviors) Taking board and trains off campus to dog friendly stores, parks, & new locations to work on environmentals Monitor canine health & behaviors and report any concerns to Kennel Manager Performing any other duties assigned by the
