Job Description

Lizzy's is looking for a Trainer's Assistant at the Dog School! We are looking for a dedicated Team member with a serious passion for the pets in our care. General experience with Dogs required! Compensation is commensurate with experience.
You bring:
  • A genuine love for dogs and enjoyment in working with them every day
  • Dependability and punctuality
  • Availability to work most weekends
  • Coachability and a willingness to learn, listen, and improve
  • Patience and the ability to stay calm, even when a dog is having a bad day
  • A strong work ethic—there are no shortcuts in dog training
  • Good communication skills, as you'll be working with owners as much as dogs
  • Attention to detail—the smallest things make the biggest difference
  • Confidence without ego
  • Honesty, trustworthiness, and professionalism representing The Dog School at Lizzy's Luxury Lodge and Daycare
  • Physical ability to handle dogs of all sizes and stay on your feet most of the day
  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help wherever needed in the rest of the Lizzy's structure Experience at a boarding facility, daycare, vet clinic, grooming shop, rescue, shelter, or any dog-related job is a big plus, but formal training experience isn't required.
