Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who love animals and enjoy working in a lively environment. As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to dogs while ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day. Your primary focus will be on creating a fun, engaging, and safe atmosphere for our furry guests. Duties Supervise and engage with dogs in playgroups, ensuring their safety and socialization. Provide basic care including feeding, walking, and administering medications as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the daycare facility by regularly cleaning play areas, kennels, and equipment. Monitor the behavior of dogs to identify any signs of distress or aggression and take appropriate action. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior, health, and any concerns. Assist with record-keeping related to dog care and health information. Participate in training sessions for dogs as needed, promoting good behavior and obedience. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive environment for both dogs and staff. Requirements Previous experience in dog handling or pet care is preferred; experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is a plus. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners. Ability to handle various breeds of dogs safely and confidently. Knowledge of animal behavior and basic training techniques is beneficial. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) when necessary. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
