Job Description
Do you love dogs and enjoy creating a warm, welcoming environment where they feel safe, happy, and at home? We're looking for a caring and dependable Dog Boarding & Daycare Attendant to join our team. At our facility, we treat every dog like family, providing personalized attention, plenty of playtime, and lots of love while they're away from home. This is a hands-on role for someone who is passionate about animal care and enjoys building relationships with both dogs and their owners. Applicants with previous experience working with dogs in a boarding, daycare, veterinary, grooming, or training environment will be given preference.
What You'll Do:
Provide daily care for our canine guests, including feeding, refreshing water, administering medications as directed, and ensuring each dog's individual needs are met. Supervise daycare playgroups and encourage safe, positive interactions between dogs. Create a comfortable, home-like environment where dogs feel secure, relaxed, and loved. Keep boarding areas, play yards, and common spaces clean, organized, and sanitary. Monitor dogs for changes in behavior, appetite, or overall health and communicate any concerns to management promptly. Provide enrichment activities, exercise, and one-on-one attention to keep dogs mentally and physically engaged. Welcome pet parents with friendly, professional customer service and provide updates about their dogs' stay when needed. Help with general facility upkeep and safely handle supplies and equipment.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience working with dogs in a daycare, boarding facility, veterinary clinic, grooming salon, rescue, or similar setting is strongly preferred. Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. Knowledge of canine behavior, body language, and safe group play practices. Ability to stay active throughout the day, including standing, walking, cleaning, and lifting when necessary. Dependable, responsible, and attentive to detail. Positive attitude and strong communication skills. A genuine passion for dogs and a commitment to providing exceptional care. Why Join Our Team? $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
