Job Description

Part-Time Kennel Assistant Winnabow K9 Board & Train, LLC is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to assist with the daily care and cleaning of dogs in our board and train program. This position is ideal for a responsible high school or college student who loves animals and is looking for part-time work.
Pay:
$12/hr with the opportunity for performance-based raises
Schedule:
  • Morning and evening shifts on weekdays
  • Morning and evening shifts on weekends
  • Additional hours may be available during holidays and busy seasons
Responsibilities:
  • Let dogs out for potty breaks and supervised exercise
  • Feed and water dogs according to individualized instructions
  • Clean and sanitize kennels and crates
  • Bathe dogs
  • Wash dog dishes, bedding, and towels
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain cleanliness of the training facility and surrounding areas
  • Monitor dogs and promptly report any health or behavioral concerns
  • Follow all safety and handling procedures
Additional Opportunities:
There may be opportunities for additional paid hours assisting with client dog pick-ups and drop-offs. Applicants interested in transportation duties must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be comfortable safely transporting dogs.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are required
  • Must be comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and breeds
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work independently and follow detailed instructions
  • Must be comfortable cleaning urine, feces, vomit, and other pet-related messes
  • Must be dependable, hardworking, and have a strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with animals is a plus but not required
  • Experience in kennels, veterinary clinics, farms, or pet care is beneficial This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in animal care, veterinary medicine, dog training, or a career working with animals.
