We are excited to announce the opening of our new outpatient diagnostic veterinary imaging center. With state-of-the-art technology, including Ultrasound, Computed Tomography, and Nuclear Scintigraphy, we offer precise diagnoses while working closely with primary veterinarians. Duties:
Handle all types of horses, both well behaved and not. Ensure horses receive their appropriate and timely meals and clean, fresh water. Maintaining clean and hygienic living spaces for the horses, including stalls, barns, and other designated areas. Ensure horses receive the care they need, following established feeding, sanitation, and medical procedures. Client communication. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, and unpleasant odors. Ability to always communicate professionally and effectively and maintain professionalism in emotionally charged / challenging situations. Ability to handle horses in high stress environment. Ability to lead horses from stalls to imaging areas in all types of weather. Provide high quality customer service. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Ability to work effectively with computers and electronics.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lead and hold horses throughout the workday with or without reasonable accommodations. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to frequently lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat
Education and Experience:
This position requires at least one year of equine handling experience.
