Responsibilities Design and implement effective training programs tailored to individual dogs' needs, focusing on obedience, behavior modification, and social skills Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors and foster trust with dogs of all ages and temperaments Handle dogs safely during training sessions, ensuring proper restraint and animal handling procedures are followed at all times Educate pet owners on training methods, behavioral management, pet grooming, and general animal care to promote consistency at home Assist with pet sitting, kennel duties, and basic pet grooming tasks as needed to support overall animal well-being Maintain detailed records of training progress, behavioral assessments, and client interactions in accordance with best practices Support veterinary staff with animal restraint or handling during medical procedures when necessary Qualifications Proven experience in dog training or animal handling, with a strong understanding of canine behavior principles Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles, veterinary experience preferred for comprehensive animal care knowledge Hands-on experience with pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel operations is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for animal restraint or equipment setup Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and safe handling practices across various species including dogs and equines Strong organizational skills to track training progress and maintain accurate records Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners!
