Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dog training and animal care, with the ability to work effectively with various breeds and temperaments. This role involves educating dog owners on training techniques, providing hands-on training sessions, and ensuring the well-being of dogs in our care. Develop customized training programs based on the specific needs of each dog and owner. Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors. Provide guidance to dog owners on effective training methods and ongoing care. Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals during training sessions. Maintain accurate records of each dog's progress and any behavioral concerns. Assist with animal restraint when necessary, ensuring humane handling at all times. Collaborate with other staff members to provide comprehensive pet care services. Engage in customer service interactions, addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally. Qualifications Proven experience in dog training, with knowledge of various training methods. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and safety protocols. Background in pet grooming or veterinary technician work is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for handling larger breeds or equipment. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Experience working in a kennel or similar environment is advantageous. Previous experience in pet sitting or general pet care is beneficial. A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
