New York, NY Schedule Requirement:
Tuesday through Saturday availability (required) Happy Paws Pet Resort is seeking a reliable, experienced, and energetic Counselor Lead to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves working with dogs, and has strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily daycare and boarding operations to ensure a safe and positive environment for all pets Lead and support a team of counselors, including training, coaching, and performance guidance Monitor dog behavior and group play, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols Communicate clearly with management regarding daily operations, incidents, and staffing needs Assist with feeding, medication administration, cleaning, and overall facility upkeep Provide excellent customer service when interacting with pet parents
Requirements:
Must be available Tuesday through Saturday (this is a non-negotiable schedule) Prior experience working in a dog daycare, boarding facility, or similar environment Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong understanding of dog behavior and safe handling practices Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-energy setting Comfortable working on your feet and handling dogs of all sizes
