Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Pet Care Team Manager to lead our dedicated team in providing exceptional animal care and customer service. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations within our pet care facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for animals and a positive experience for pet owners. Your leadership will inspire team members to deliver top-tier pet care services, including dog training, walking, and handling, while maintaining high standards of safety and animal welfare. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners through proactive management and passionate animal advocacy. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the pet care team to deliver outstanding service in all aspects of animal handling, walking, training, and pet sitting. Oversee daily operations including animal intake, kennel management, feeding schedules, and cleanliness protocols. Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are followed to maintain safety for both animals and staff. Coordinate dog training sessions, utilizing positive reinforcement methods to improve behavior and obedience. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing pet owner inquiries, scheduling appointments, and offering expert advice on pet care needs. Conduct regular staff training on animal handling, safety procedures, and customer interaction to uphold high standards of professionalism. Maintain accurate records of animal health, treatments, and behavioral progress while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Support heavy lifting tasks related to kennel setup or equipment maintenance as needed. Requirements Proven experience in dog training, dog handling, or animal behavior management. Background in veterinary settings such as veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable. Strong animal handling skills across various species including dogs and horses; equine experience is a plus. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and pet sitting best practices. Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively during examinations or treatments. Prior kennel experience with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and animal welfare standards. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform physically demanding tasks regularly. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.50 per hour
