Job Description

Daycare Coach / Dog Daycare Attendant At Little Paws of Hope, we believe exceptional pet care starts with exceptional people. Position Summary As a Daycare Coach, you will play an important role in the daily care, supervision, and enrichment of the dogs in our facility. You'll help maintain safe and structured playgroups, monitor dog behavior, support positive interactions, and ensure our facility remains clean, welcoming, and comfortable. Success in this role requires patience, reliability, strong observation skills, and a commitment to providing excellent care for every dog entrusted to us. Responsibilities Supervise and actively engage with dogs during group play sessions both indoors and outdoors. Maintain safe, structured playgroups using approved handling and management techniques. Monitor dogs for signs of illness, injury, stress, or unusual behavior and report concerns promptly. Follow all animal care, health, safety, and facility procedures. Maintain clean and sanitary play areas, suites, kennels, and common spaces. Assist with feeding, cleaning, and daily care routines as assigned. Communicate effectively with management and team members regarding dog behavior, special instructions, and daily activities. Review daily schedules, care notes, and operational updates. Support team members as needed to ensure the highest standard of care throughout the facility. What We're Looking For A genuine passion for working with dogs and providing exceptional animal care. Ability to remain calm, confident, and attentive when handling dogs of varying personalities and energy levels. Strong observation skills and attention to detail. Dependable, punctual, and able to work well within a team environment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional workplace. Ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience working in a pet care, daycare, boarding, veterinary, grooming, or animal-related environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of dog behavior and body language is a plus. Strong work ethic and professional references. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the workday. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely manage active and energetic dogs throughout a shift.
