Our state-of-the-art facility offers a comprehensive range of services, including daycare, boarding, training, fitness & agility, and bathing, all designed to promote healthy routines and strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners. Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Dog Trainer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping well-behaved, happy dogs through positive reinforcement techniques and personalized training programs. Your expertise will help owners understand their pets better while ensuring each dog receives tailored care that aligns with our mission to improve canine well-being. Duties Conduct engaging training sessions to teach obedience, behavior modification, and socialization skills for dogs of all ages and temperaments Assess each dog's temperament and develop customized training plans to meet individual needs Handle dogs safely using animal restraint techniques and proper handling skills Educate pet owners on training methods, behavior management, and daily care practices Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to kennel standards and animal handling protocols Requirements Proven experience in dog training with a strong understanding of positive reinforcement methods Background in veterinary experience or veterinary technician/assistant roles is highly desirable Skilled in animal handling, restraint, and pet care practices across various species including dogs and equines Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting and standing for extended periods Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background is a plus Passionate about animal welfare with a proactive attitude toward continuous learning in canine behavior Join us at K-11 Canine Care where your dedication can make a real difference in the lives of dogs and their owners!
