In this dynamic role, you will be the heartbeat of our dog daycare, ensuring a safe, fun, and enriching environment for dogs of all breeds and sizes. Your energetic approach will foster positive socialization, promote good behavior, and provide exceptional care that keeps tails wagging. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while engaging with pet owners and supporting their furry friends' well-being every day. Responsibilities Supervise daily dog playgroups, ensuring safe interactions and positive social behavior among canine participants Assist with dog handling, animal restraint, and outdoor activities to promote physical activity and mental stimulation Maintain a clean and sanitized environment by performing pet care facility sanitization and regular cleaning duties Monitor dogs for signs of stress or discomfort, intervening appropriately to prevent conflicts or injuries Support pet boarding and pet sitting services by providing attentive care and ensuring animals' comfort Educate pet owners on dog behavior, training techniques, and best practices for at-home care Assist with pet grooming, feeding, and administering medications as needed to ensure overall animal health Experience Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly valued for understanding animal health needs Experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or animal handling enhances your ability to manage diverse canine personalities Dog training background or knowledge of animal behavior contributes to effective socialization efforts Familiarity with kennel operations, pet boarding procedures, and animal restraint techniques is preferred Hands-on outdoor work experience and heavy lifting capability are important for managing large or energetic dogs Strong customer service skills ensure positive interactions with pet owners and team members alike Join us in creating a lively, caring environment where dogs thrive!
