The ideal candidate is a hard-working, problem-solving trainer with a strong passion for dogs. Our training program uses positive reinforcement and adheres to LIMA training standards. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • Valid & Current Dog training certification
  • At least 1 year of hands-on dog training experience or equivalent education.
  • In depth understanding of the principles of operant conditioning and classical conditioning
  • Able to lead group-classes and handle private lessons
  • Able to safely handle dogs of all breeds, understand dog behaviors, read body language and safely and humanely manage a dog's behaviors.
  • Able to clearly communicate training objectives and progress to owners during group classes, private lessons or follow-up sessions
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment and keep a friendly and positive attitude toward coworkers and customers
  • High attention to detail both in written communications and when assessing a dog's behaviors and health/well-being
  • Able to lift up to 40lbs and stand for long-periods of time
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the growth, development/implementation of processes and curriculum for the program
  • Lead group classes at our facility
  • Schedule and lead private lessons at client's home or our facility
  • Complete daily sessions with guests who are attending daycare or boarding
  • Document guest's progress and create daily reports and communications for owner
  • Keep a safe and clean environment in which to train Compensation & Benefits
