- Valid & Current Dog training certification
- At least 1 year of hands-on dog training experience or equivalent education.
- In depth understanding of the principles of operant conditioning and classical conditioning
- Able to lead group-classes and handle private lessons
- Able to safely handle dogs of all breeds, understand dog behaviors, read body language and safely and humanely manage a dog's behaviors.
- Able to clearly communicate training objectives and progress to owners during group classes, private lessons or follow-up sessions
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and keep a friendly and positive attitude toward coworkers and customers
- High attention to detail both in written communications and when assessing a dog's behaviors and health/well-being
- Able to lift up to 40lbs and stand for long-periods of time
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with the growth, development/implementation of processes and curriculum for the program
- Lead group classes at our facility
- Schedule and lead private lessons at client's home or our facility
- Complete daily sessions with guests who are attending daycare or boarding
- Document guest's progress and create daily reports and communications for owner
- Keep a safe and clean environment in which to train Compensation & Benefits
