In Vivo Technician I Spencerville, OH 45887 From $19 an hour - Full-time From $19 an hour - Full-time Charles River Laboratories is hiring an In Vivo Technician I to join our Safety Assessment team. This is an entry-level laboratory and animal care role with paid, hands-on training—no prior experience required. If you're interested in science, animal care, and starting a career in laboratory research, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Provide daily animal care and husbandry, including feeding, watering, and cleaning Assist with animal handling, restraint, and clinical observations Collect, document, and verify study data using electronic systems Learn to operate and maintain laboratory equipment Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Support humane animal care and positive human-animal interactions Work safely with live animals, biological materials, and lab equipment Qualifications High school diploma or GED required No prior lab or animal experience needed - training provided Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures Comfortable working with animals in a research environment Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) Willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed Physical Requirements Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs Able to stand, sit, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods Comfortable wearing PPE and following OSHA safety guidelines Why Join Charles River?
