Job Description

The Dog House is recruiting a new Playroom Caregiver. The Dog House is a cage free, leash free doggy daycare that also offers boarding, training, and grooming services. We are a small, friendly team of dog lovers that takes pride in providing a safe, loving environment for the dogs in our care. Ideal candidates will be energetic, dependable, hard working dog lovers with a strong desire to work in a team oriented environment that emphasizes and rewards learning. Our dog handlers are expected to maintain our high standards of dog care at all times.
Schedule AM Shift:
Monday-Friday 7:00am-12:30pm and Sunday 7:30am-4:30pm What you will do: Read and understand behavioral, medical, and feeding notes for the dogs in your care. Follow instructions for managing dogs with special behavior or medical needs with the guidance of our behavioral staff. Follow protocols for dealing with any behavior or medical incidents observed.
What we are looking for:
Extremely dependable - the dogs need you on time and every day! Willingness and ability to follow instruction and learn new techniques and skills. Proactive problem solving skills. Eagerness to grow and improve. Can remain calm, compassionate, and understanding in stressful and often very noisy situations. Active and effective communicator. Team leader Strong attention to detail. Able to follow and complete daily checklists. Ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift heavy objects. MUST love dogs! Basic understanding of dog behavior is highly desirable. Previous experience working with dogs is a plus, but not necessary - we will teach you - more important is a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and dependability!
What we offer our staff:
Expert training in how to manage large groups of dogs while promoting good behavior. Employee discounts for daycare, boarding, training, and grooming services. Pay Starting $12.50/hr with no experience. $13.00 with experience in a doggie daycare.. •Please note there is room for pay growth based on performance and attendance•Final Notes We are urgently hiring and interviewing as early as this week.
