Weekend Dog Handler

Overview Join our team as a Weekend Dog Handler! In this role, you will be the dedicated caregiver and handler for dogs during weekend shifts, ensuring their safety, comfort, and happiness. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with animals, applying your skills in dog training, handling, and/or pet care while providing exceptional service to pet owners. If you are responsible, good with time management, and have professional dog experience, this is the perfect role for you! Responsibilities Safely managing small groups of boarding dogs in a group daycare environment Maintain a clean, organized environment by cleaning kennels & play areas Prepping meals & medications Monitor dogs closely for signs of stress or health issues; communicate any concerns to supervisors Learning our check-in and check-out process to ensure boarding dogs are properly entering and exiting the facility Engage with pet owners by providing updates on their dogs' activities and behaviors during shifts Requirements Must have professional experience working with dogs Experience with a dog boarding facility is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., lifting dogs or supplies) Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Familiarity with kennel management, and general animal handling practices Reliable availability on weekends with a proactive attitude toward animal welfare Join us in creating a positive environment where dogs thrive!
