Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate In-Home Dog Trainer to join our team. This role involves providing personalized training services directly in clients' homes to help dogs and their owners develop better behavior, obedience, and social skills. These cases will be easy, addressing nuisance behaviors only like pulling, jumping, barking, puppy crate and potty training etc.
You will:
Conduct in-home training sessions to address behavioral issues and teach obedience commands Develop customized training plans based on each dog's needs and owner goals Demonstrate proper dog handling techniques and tool usage Educate pet owners on effective training methods, behavior management and cognitive development Maintain detailed records of training progress/assign homework after each lesson Requirements You must have a minimum of 2 years in a balanced training, client-facing Dog Trainer role. You must be able to submit videos of dogs/results you've produced. Reliable transportation and clean driving record required. Fluent in basic learning theory, application of quadrants, balanced training methodology, and Slip/Starmark/Prong collar conditioning experience. You do not need to be E collar proficient, but definitely E collar interested/supportive for this role. Ability to upsell programs for E collar off-leash training or intensive programs at facility to some clients who may desire more advanced skills and greater reliability in the future. Mandatory training period at our facility in Redmond to ensure cohesiveness of tools, techniques, processes and training phases lasting approximately 3-4 weeks before you'd work on your own. Slower schedule days can be filled in working at the facility to maintain your weekly hours. Must currently live in the city limits of Bend or Redmond, Oregon or have the ability to move here within 30 days.
