  • Contract Bay Light Farm is seeking a knowledgeable, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Trainer to help lead our riding school program.
The Assistant Trainer will be responsible for teaching a wide range of lessons, riding horses in training and sales programs, and helping ensure consistency in rider education and horse development. This individual should be capable of confidently running the riding school during periods when the owner is unavailable or out of town. This is a teaching-focused position and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a diverse population of riders and horses.
Responsibilities:
Teach beginner through advanced riding lessons Teach adaptive riders and students with varying physical and developmental abilities Ride horses in training and sales programs as assigned Exercise and evaluate lesson horses Maintain training consistency across the riding school program Communicate effectively with riders, families, and staff Represent Bay Light Farm professionally and positively
Qualifications:
Strong riding and horsemanship skills Previous teaching experience preferred Ability to teach a broad range of riders and learning styles Comfortable riding a variety of horses, including green, sensitive, or challenging horses Professional, dependable, and self-motivated Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Important:
This position is not limited to specific types of lessons, riders, or horses. Candidates must be willing and able to work with beginner riders, adaptive riders, lesson horses with individual quirks, and horses in training and sales programs.
Schedule:
Flexible based on candidate availability. Full-time and part-time opportunities may be considered.
Compensation:
Competitive and based on experience.
