Behavioral Dog Trainer Cranberry Twp, PA 5 DAYS AGO 22586207 Summary Cranberry Twp, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 1 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description The Indoor Dog Park - Cranberry Township, PA The Indoor Dog Park is looking for a motivated, confident, and dog-savvy individual to join our team as a Behavioral Dog Trainer. We are looking for someone who has experience working with dogs and a solid understanding of canine behavior. Previous dog training experience is preferred and strongly encouraged, but it does not need to be extensive professional-level training experience. This role is a great fit for someone who has worked in dog training, daycare, kennel, group play, or dog handling environments and is looking to continue growing their skills. Key Responsibilities Be a positive and professional representation of The Indoor Dog Park Lead and oversee group play Safely manage and supervise groups of 10+ dogs at one time Monitor dog behavior and maintain safe, structured interactions between dogs Educate and coach others on acceptable play, proper dog behavior, and handling techniques Run and assist with group and private training classes Ensure The Indoor Dog Park policies, procedures, and safety standards are upheld Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of special events when needed Qualifications Must love dogs and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while confidently handling multiple dogs at one time Previous dog training experience preferred; willingness to learn training methods required Experience in dog daycare, boarding, kennel, veterinary, rescue, or animal handling environments preferred Strong understanding of canine body language and behavior Ability to confidently handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments Excellent communication skills and ability to professionally handle difficult situations Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities Detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated to learn Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required Must be at least 18 years old Must be willing to complete a background check Physical Requirements Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to confidently handle large and energetic dogs Comfortable working in an active, high-energy environment About Us The Indoor Dog Park is a 20,000 sq ft indoor dog facility located in Cranberry Township. We focus on safe socialization, structured play, behavior, training, and creating a positive experience for both dogs and owners.
