Job description: Pet Sitter & Dog Walker (Part-Time) Pet Care Club of Rhode Island is currently seeking dependable, animal-loving individuals to join our growing team as Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers serving Warren, Barrington and Riverside, RI. As a locally owned pet care company, we are dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized care for pets while creating a positive and supportive workplace for our team members. We believe that caring for our employees is just as important as caring for our clients' pets. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, loves animals, and takes pride in providing reliable, professional service. Our team cares for a wide variety of pets and works with dogs of all sizes, including larger breeds that may require confident leash handling and strong animal management skills. What You'll Do As a Pet Care Club team member, you'll provide a variety of in-home pet care services, including: Dog walking Pet sitting visits Puppy care Pet transportation appointments Administering medications when needed Feeding, watering, and providing companionship Cleaning up pet waste Monitoring pets for changes in behavior or health concerns Communicating updates to pet owners Following individualized care instructions for each pet Adhering to company safety procedures and best practices What We Offer Paid training and ongoing support Competitive pay ranging from $21.00-$26.00 per hour Excellent tipping opportunities Flexible part-time schedules Employee referral bonuses Employee discounts Meaningful work making a difference in pets' lives Supportive team culture Qualifications Applicants must: Be at least 18 years old Reside in Warren, Barrington or Riverside, Rhode Island Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Own a smartphone for scheduling, communication, and visit reporting Successfully pass a criminal background check Be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions Have experience handling dogs and other animals, including larger or untrained pets Demonstrate good judgment and situational awareness Remain calm and responsive during unexpected situations Be physically capable of walking, standing, and managing pets throughout the day Have a strong commitment to animal safety and well-being Be willing to complete company training requirements Be available during our busiest weekday hours (10:00 AM-2:00 PM) Have weekend and holiday availability Be able to travel between client homes Preferred Experience While not required, experience in any of the following areas is highly valued: Veterinary clinics Animal shelters Pet care facilities Dog training Pet-related volunteer work Customer service positions If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity to work with animals while providing outstanding care and service, we'd love to hear from you.
