In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and supporting the training and development of our canine residents. This position offers an energetic and rewarding opportunity to work closely with dogs of all breeds and temperaments, fostering their growth and happiness while maintaining the highest standards of dog care. This job is smoke free/drug free. English speaking only. Responsibilities Provide attentive daily care for dogs housed at the facility, including feeding, playing with and administering medications as needed Assist with dog training sessions by handling dogs during exercises and reinforcing training techniques under supervision. Must be open to learning and supporting a force/fear free, positive reinforcement (only) dog training philosophy. Maintain cleanliness of kennels, training areas, and common spaces through regular sanitization and thorough cleaning routines Daily maintainance of onsite above ground pool, kiddie pool, water features and sand box for dogs Must be willing to do mulitiple loads of dog laundry/ blankets and dog toys daily Engage in outdoor work such as walking dogs, playing games with dogs, cleaning outdoor enclosures, and supervising playtime to promote healthy activity levels Must be willing to bathe dogs Collaborate with team members on lifting heavy supplies or equipment to ensure efficient facility operations while adhering to proper lifting techniques Skills Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician background demonstrating familiarity with dog health needs a plus Experience in dog sitting, dog grooming, or dog care facilities including handling of dogs and behavior management Knowledge of dog training techniques and dog behavior to assist in training programs effectively Must be able and willing to work primarily outdoors regardless of weather conditons Must be physically able to squat/get up and bend down, haul 40 lbs of (dog food, pool salt, etc). Will need to take responsibilty of collection and organizing dog deliveries. Required to have strong stamina for standing, walking and active engagement with dogs througout shifts. Strong cleaning skills with an emphasis on sanitation protocols specific to pet care facilities Must be willing to help clean, haul trash, make dump runs, help move heavy objects to assist with maintaing facilty organization Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors Handy skills a huge plus This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a positive impact on dogs' lives while working in a lively, supportive environment.
