This role involves providing physical exercise and compassionate care for our shelter animals, including larger breeds of dogs. If you have a passion for animal welfare, love spending time outdoors, and are comfortable handling animals, this could be the perfect role for you.
Shift:
Tuesday - Saturday $15/hr Responsibilities Walk, exercise, and engage with large dogs daily to ensure adequate physical and mental stimulation. Provide essential care, including feeding and monitoring the health and well-being of each animal. Follow safety protocols to manage and handle large dogs effectively. Clean kennels, assist with feeding schedules, and other shelter maintenance as needed. Keep accurate records of each animal's behavior, progress, and health. Communicate effectively with shelter staff and volunteers. Requirements Previous experience handling large dogs or working in a shelter/rescue setting is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods. Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented with a genuine love for animals. Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be able to work weekends. Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
