Responsibilities Assist experienced groomers with bathing, drying, brushing, and trimming pets to ensure a comfortable grooming experience. Learn proper animal restraint techniques to safely handle dogs and other pets during grooming procedures. Support the maintenance of a clean and sanitary grooming station, including equipment cleaning and organization. Observe and participate in grooming consultations to understand client preferences and pet-specific needs. Develop skills in dog training and handling to improve pet cooperation during grooming sessions. Follow safety protocols related to animal handling, veterinary procedures, and heavy lifting to prevent injury. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and ensuring a positive experience for both pets and owners. Qualifications Genuine passion for animals with an interest in pet grooming, dog training, or veterinary care. Prior experience with animal handling, kennel work, pet sitting, or veterinary assisting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude toward clients and their pets. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or energetic animals. Basic knowledge of animal care practices including pet care, veterinary procedures, and animal restraint techniques. Willingness to learn new skills related to dog training, veterinary experience, and pet grooming standards. Prior experience in veterinary technician or assistant roles is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
