Job Description

```Job Summary``` We are seeking a skilled and passionate Dog Trainer to join our team. We offer immersion Day School Programs in addition to one-on-one training sessions with owners and their dogs. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for training dogs of various breeds and sizes. We go beyond obedience into the root causes of problem behaviors and teaching owners to better understand and communicate with their dog. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who have a love for animals and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives. ```Duties```
  • Conduct training sessions with dogs using positive reinforcement techniques
  • Follow personalized training plans based on the specific needs of each dog
  • Provide guidance and support to dog owners on how to reinforce training at home
  • Monitor and report the dog's progress
  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions
  • Potential to teach group classes with associated commission
  • Maintain a sanitary work environment and prepare facility for the next day at the end of each day
  • Contributions to social media pages ```Qualifications``` To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
  • Passionate about helping dogs
  • Empathetic towards the needs of dogs and owners
  • Motivated to learn more about dog behavior
  • Animal handling: Ability to safely handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
  • Dog training: Proficiency in using positive reinforcement techniques to train dogs
  • Heavy lifting: Ability to lift heavy objects such as dog crates or equipment
  • Have reliable transportation
  • 1-2 years hands on experience working with behavior issues in dogs, such as reactivity, fear, anxiety, aggression, etc.
  • Preferred professional qualifications include CCPDT, KPA, IAABC, etc Join our team as a Dog Trainer and make a difference in the lives of both dogs and their owners.
