Dayton, TX Overview:
Two Brothers Sporting Dogs seeks a Kennel Technician to join our team. The Kennel Technician will be responsible for the daily care and welfare of our resident dogs, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment is maintained for each dog.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily care for resident dogs, including feeding, cleaning, exercising, and administering medication Monitor dogs' behavior and report any concerns to the kennel manager or veterinarian Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kennel facility, including kennels, runs, yards, and equipment Conduct basic grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming Interact with dogs to provide enrichment and socialization opportunities Maintain accurate records of dog care and behavior Assist with dog training and behavior modification as needed Other duties as assigned by the kennel manager
Requirements:
MUST have your own transportation Previous experience working with dogs in a kennel or veterinary setting preferred Knowledge of dog behavior, basic care, and hygiene practices Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time Strong communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Availability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, and late evenings as needed Willing to work outside in all types of weather Able to work mornings, 7 AM This is a part-time position with a competitive salary. The Kennel Technician will work as part of a team to ensure the highest level of care is provided to our resident dogs.
