Job Description

We are a private dog training company located in North Mckinney, and we are looking to add another member to our team! At Tame Dog Training, we specialize in fully functional pet obediecne, off-leash training, and hanlding extreme social cases of aggression and anxiety. We teach dogs to obey commands like, sit and lay down, ignore distractions, and to respond to their owners when called. Through a variety of tools and training methods, we create healthy people-to-dog relationships that decrease frustration and enhance the owner's enjoyment of their dog. This is a fun job that requires hard work and it is very rewarding. This position is mentally and physically engaging and you will learn a lot about dog behavior and training at a serious level.
Dog Trainer Requirements:
Must be high-energy and a self-starter Must be punctual and dependable Must be able to focus and follow very specific processes and multi-task Must have reliable transportation to and from work Must be willing to work weekends and holidays Must be willing to work outside, regardless of weather Must have a smartphone Must be able to lift 40 to 50 lbs.

Be professional and customer service oriented Be eager to work with dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments Eager and willing to learn our proprietary training methods Have excellent communication skills Treat all dogs with the utmost respect and care
Duties:
Maintain a clean work environment Walk, train, and clean up after dogs Clean kennels Clean dog bowls Continue to learn effective dog-training methods Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Compensation:
10-40 hours per week Position can start at $10-15 per hour depending on ability, with the possibility of pay increase to $15-$20 per hour in proportion to performance, amount of Tame Dog Training's methods learned, and commitment to long-term employment with Tame Dog Training.
