Dog Care Specialist (Part-Time)
Location:
Midland, TX The Good Shepherd is looking for dependable, hardworking, and dog-loving individuals to join our team as a Part-Time Dog Care Specialist . If you enjoy working with dogs in a fast-paced environment and take pride in providing excellent care, we'd love to meet you! Responsibilities Supervise and safely interact with dogs in daycare and boarding. Monitor dog behavior and help maintain safe playgroups. Feed, water, and administer medications as instructed. Clean kennels, play yards, and common areas throughout the day. Assist with bathing dogs as needed. Help with check-ins, check-outs, and greeting clients. Follow all safety, cleaning, and animal handling procedures. Work as a team to ensure every dog receives excellent care. Qualifications Professional experience working with dogs in a daycare, boarding, training, veterinary, grooming, shelter, or similar environment is preferred. Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the shift. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and committed to providing a clean, safe, and enriching environment for every dog in our care.
Schedule Part-time Split shift required:
7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Must be available to work both scheduled shifts on assigned workdays. Weekend and holiday availability required. Additional hours may be available based on business needs.
