Job Description

Is dog training your passion? Join our team! We are currently hiring an assistant dog trainer to assist current head trainer in training sessions, lessons, and general care of the dogs and facility. Ideal candidate will have some balanced training experience, but we are very open to training the right person. This position is currently part-time, but has the potential for growth for the right person. Many opportunities to expand into different roles, advance, and commission potential for sales. Must be comfortable with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. Must have good customer service skills and be comfortable interacting with various people. Must pass a background check and have a valid drivers license with reliable transportation. Responsibilities Kennel tech responsibilities (cleaning, inventory, potty breaks, bathing, etc) Manage and document health/wellbeing of dogs in our care Properly video training sessions and update owners according to schedule Conduct training sessions with dogs per our training methods, safely, and ethically Assist in owner lessons Possibly transport dogs and conduct public outings Must maintain professionalism and represent the company positively at all times Skills At least basic knowledge of dog training principles and techniques, especially balanced training methods Skilled in dog handling, restraint, and general care Ability to lift heavy objects safely Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Passionate about animal welfare with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in training This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their dog training and business knowledge. We value energetic professionals who thrive in active environments and are committed to providing exceptional care to dogs and clients. This role would also be ideal for someone who already is an experienced dog trainer looking to grow into other roles. For the right individual, there is full-time potential for a semi-remote training role, commission based sales, and/or a general manager role in the company. There is a lot of room for financial and professional growth in the future.
