Job Overview Join our team as a Dog Trainer/Sales Associate, where your passion for animals and exceptional customer service skills will shine! In this energetic role, you will be instrumental in training dogs to reach their full potential while also engaging with pet owners to recommend the best products and services. Your enthusiasm for animal care combined with your sales acumen will create a positive experience for every pet and owner who walks through our doors. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on dog training with customer interaction, all within a lively and supportive environment. Responsibilities Conduct professional dog training sessions to improve obedience, behavior, and socialization skills, utilizing proven techniques and positive reinforcement methods Assist pet owners in understanding their dogs' needs and provide tailored training advice to foster better pet-owner relationships Handle dogs safely and confidently, demonstrating proper animal restraint and handling techniques during training and daily interactions Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about pet products, grooming services, and training programs, ensuring clients feel valued and informed Support pet care activities such as grooming, sitting, or kennel duties as needed to maintain a clean and safe environment for animals Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or animals when necessary to ensure smooth daily operations Maintain detailed records of training progress, client interactions, and animal behavior notes to track development and improve service quality Experience No prior experience required. We will train the right candidate! Comfort working with various breeds of all sized, and handling diverse situations Customer service experience is essential for engaging effectively with clients and addressing their pet care needs Familiarity with pet grooming, pet sitting, kennel work, or animal restraint enhances your ability to support comprehensive pet services Ability to perform heavy lifting safely is required to manage supplies or assist with animals of different sizes A genuine passion for animals combined with excellent communication skills will help you succeed in this lively role Reliable transportation, as you will be going to the clients.
