Job Description

Canine Cardio - Dog Fitness & Training Facility Northern Virginia Canine Cardio is seeking a confident and experienced Canine Coach to join our team. This role is for individuals who have strong leadership skills, solid experience working with dogs, and the ability to maintain structure in a group dog environment. Our facility focuses on canine fitness, structured daycare, and behavior development , helping dogs fulfill their natural instincts through exercise, training, and leadership. This is not a passive daycare position . We are looking for team members who can confidently manage dogs, read behavior, and maintain calm, structured pack dynamics. Responsibilities Safely supervise and manage groups of dogs in a structured environment Demonstrate strong leadership and confidence when handling dogs Monitor dog body language and intervene appropriately when necessary Assist with canine fitness activities such as treadmill and slatmill work Support training exercises and reinforce basic obedience Maintain calm and structured pack management at all times Communicate clearly with team members about dog behavior and needs Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in the facility Assist with maintaining a clean and organized environment Qualifications Strong leadership and confidence when working with dogs Experience working with dogs in a professional setting (daycare, kennel, training, vet clinic, etc.) Ability to read dog body language and manage group dog dynamics Calm, assertive, and observant personality Reliable, punctual, and able to work within a structured system Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments Physically capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout active shifts Preferred but not required: Experience in dog training or behavior work Knowledge of pack management or structured daycare environments Interest in canine fitness and working dogs Work Environment Fast-paced dog fitness and training facility Hands-on work with multiple dogs throughout the day Active environment that requires focus, awareness, and leadership Opportunity to learn more about canine behavior and structured dog management
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour
