Job Description
We are seeking part-time Kennel Attendants to provide exceptional care for our boarding and hospitalized patients. We are currently hiring for opening and closing shifts , with each position scheduled 5 days per week . If you are dependable, compassionate, and enjoy working with animals, we'd love to hear from you!
RESPONSIBILITIES
including, but not limited to:- Feeding and walking animals
- Documentation skills
- Cleaning bowls/dishes
- Cleaning all cages, runs, kennel areas.
- Bathing animals, nail trims.
- Assist other employees and clients in a cheerful and respectful manner as a representative of Mechanicsville Animal Hospital.
- Client interactions, admitting and discharging animals.
- Phone and Computer skills
- Should enjoy working with dogs and cats.
REQUIREMENTS
including, but not limited to:- Healthy, positive attitude
- Able to humanely handle animals under various circumstances.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and carry 40 lbs bags and boxes.
- Availability to work: morning, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with handling dogs and cats, willingness to work with different animal personalities.
- Able to read, write, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
