We provide day camp, overnight boarding and basic grooming. We are currently hiring for the position of part time dog handler with an average of 20 hours per week hours available. During the day, our dog handlers manage groups of 10-15 dogs while they walk around and play outside. They also perform indoor cleaning duties, communicate with clients and do whatever it takes to provide the highest quality of care for our dogs. This position will include weekdays and at least one weekend day . Most employees are on a consistent schedule with the flexibility to trade shifts or have extra hours by filling in for other employees. Also note that we are a team of diverse individuals. If you love dogs, are reliable, work well independently, like being outside in all seasons and are a great team player, this is the perfect job for you. All new employees complete an extensive online training that includes dog behavior, group management, play styles and other skills essential to the role. Opportunities for continuing education include Pet First Aid and CPR, certification as a Fear Free day care provider, training as an enrichment counselor and skills in basic dog grooming. Requirements Ability to walk outside on grass and uneven ground for a few hours at a time Strong problem solving skills Professional communication skills Ability to lift at least 50 pounds Ability to manage groups of dogs without using fear, pain or punishment Completion of a background check
