Job Description
Job Summary We are a kennel free facility and our overnight staff sleep near the dogs in our care. Our capacity for boarding ranges from 10 -35 dogs with holidays and weekends being our busiest times. Our overnight staff is allowed to sleep on shift and are not required to do any other duties beyond responding to any issues that arise and contacting management in the case of an emergency. We currently have 1 to 3 shifts per week available and each shift is 7pm to 7am. We are a diverse team and expect all team members to be respectful of others regardless of race, gender, gender identity, religion, age, physical and neurological differences, and sexual orientation. Online training in dog behavior, body language and dog handling skills is provided and required. Duties Remain on site and available to alert management in the case of an emergency. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the leadership team. Communicate with the team about any dog behaviors or concerns seen overnight Requirements General knowledge of dog behavior, body language and ability to notice when something is "off" with a dog Able to make good decisions and problem solve independently Previous experience with dogs or other animals is preferred. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare Background check required Paid working interview during one day shift required Must be 18 years of age or older
