Responsibilities Monitor and care for dogs overnight, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being at all times Handle dog training exercises and reinforce positive behaviors during your shift. Perform animal handling and restraint with confidence and compassion to ensure safety for both pets and staff Maintain cleanliness and pet grooming standards to promote hygiene and comfort Provide exceptional pet sitting services, engaging with dogs through play, walks, and enrichment activities Record detailed notes on each dog's behavior, health status, and any incidents or concerns during your shift Experience Prior experience working with dogs through dog training, pet sitting, or kennel work is highly preferred Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a strong asset, demonstrating familiarity with animal health needs Knowledge of animal handling techniques and restraint methods to ensure safety during care routines Background in pet grooming or pet care enhances your ability to meet diverse needs of canine guests Customer service skills are essential for communicating effectively with pet owners and team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for kennel cleaning or moving supplies Previous experience in animal care environments such as kennels or shelters is advantageous Join us as an Overnight Dog Handler and become an integral part of a passionate team dedicated to providing top-tier care for our canine companions.
