Part-time Part-time Job Description:
Exceptional Equestrians, a nonprofit providing equine-assisted therapies, is seeking a part-time Equine Assistant to support our Equine Manager and barn operations. This role is ideal for a dependable, hands-on individual with strong horsemanship skills and a commitment to high standards of care and safety. Schedule & Compensation
  • Part-time (hours vary)
  • Competitive wages and benefits based on average weekly hours Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily horse care, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring health
  • Assist with medical care and support farrier and veterinary appointments
  • Prepare horses for therapy sessions
  • Support therapy sessions as a horse leader or sidewalker, as needed
  • Assist in training and supervising volunteer horse leaders
  • Participate in conditioning and training of horses (groundwork, lunging, riding)
  • Perform basic barn and facility maintenance Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with horses required
  • Proficiency in horse care, groundwork, and riding
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  • PATH Intl.
CTRI certification (or willingness to pursue) preferred
